Biography
In my own journey as a diplomat and executive leadership coach, I came to find resonance in the expression, “In the measurement world, you set a goal and strive for it. In the universe of possibility, you set the context and let life unfold” (Benjamin Zander – The Art of Possibility). My coaching approach stands on four pillars: celebrating the individual, using a strengths-based focus, exploring the universe of possibility, and reframing mental models to both expose and eliminate limiting beliefs. I specialize in personal empowerment, transition/change mastery, and leveling up executive leadership skills. I show up with compassionate energy and full presence, and create a powerful partnership with my clients built on trust and openness. I am a graduate of George Mason University’s Leadership Coaching for Organizational Wellness program, and will be a certified by the International Coaching Federation in January 2024. Over the course of over 23 years in the United States Diplomatic Corps, I have had the privilege of significant leadership and management experience, having served for an aggregate of three years as Acting U.S. Ambassador in both Albania and Belize as well as Deputy Chief of Mission in these posts. Other notable assignments include Director of Policy and Global Issues in the European and Eurasian Bureau; Deputy Consul General in Adana, Turkey; Spokesperson at the U.S. Consulate General in Munich; and Watch Officer for Secretary Condoleeza Rice at the Department of State Operations Center. I have a BS from Georgetown University, and a master’s degree as a distinguished graduate of the National Defense University. In 2022, I earned my 500-hour yoga teacher certification from YogaFarm Ithaca (NY), with an additional focus on trauma-informed somatic practices, Qi Gong, breathwork, and the “12 Keys of Radiant Living.” I am married with three children, and have learned that English Bulldogs only switch to “guard dog mode” when you open the refrigerator.
