Crossing Internal Borders: Coaching and Awakening the Entrepreneurial Spirit in the Hispanic Community
In this conference, we will explore how certain cultural aspects, sometimes seen as "shadows" in the Hispanic community, such as shame, can influence our daily decisions and our ability to take risks. From a coaching perspective, we will delve into how these behavioral patterns can limit the development of entrepreneurial spirit, the willingness to study, and the depth of self-knowledge.

  1. Cultural Heritage and its Shadows*
We will analyze how certain cultural traits in the Hispanic community, such as the fear of failure or the shame of exposing oneself to others, can act as barriers that prevent us from taking risks. These traits, which have been passed down through generations, often lead to extreme self-demand and a need for social conformity that can stifle innovation and the pursuit of new paths.
  2. Coaching as a Tool for Transformation
Coaching offers a space where these shadows can be recognized and transformed into sources of power. Through deep questioning and guided reflections, coaches can help their clients redefine their relationship with shame and fear, fostering a mindset of growth and resilience.
  3. Breaking the Cycle of Shame
One of the greatest challenges is learning to face shame without letting it control our decisions. We will address how coaching can support Hispanics in breaking these cycles, creating an environment where risk is accepted, and failure is seen as an opportunity to learn and improve.
  4. Awakening the Entrepreneurial Spirit
We will study how, by overcoming these shadows, Hispanics can open up to new possibilities, such as starting businesses, pursuing higher levels of education, and committing more deeply to personal development. We will look at examples of how deep self-awareness allows for decisions that are more aligned with our values and goals, instead of being conditioned by external expectations.
  5. Conclusions and Call to Action
The conference will end with an invitation to reflect on our own cultural shadows and how we can, as a community, foster an environment of growth and mutual support. Concrete tools will be offered for coaches and attendees to help individuals cross these internal borders, take more risks, and commit to their self-discovery and development.

This conference will be an opportunity to celebrate our culture, recognizing both its lights and its shadows, and promoting a transformation towards a more expansive and entrepreneurial mindset within the Hispanic community.
